Hydrogen was one of the top themes at HANNOVER MESSE 2022

With the appearance of the Lower Saxony Hydrogen Network at HANNOVER MESSE 2022, the NWN celebrated its trade fair premiere. "Our first trade fair appearance was a complete success. Alongside digitalisation, hydrogen was the top topic at Hannover Messe 2022. We could see the great interest not only in the many visitors to our stand, but also in the large number of exhibitors in the hydrogen sector," sums up NWN project manager Dr Alexander Bedrunka. Around 75,000 visitors and 2,500 exhibitors met in Hannover from 30 May to 2 June.

Lower Saxony is hydrogen state no. 1!

At the Lower Saxony stand in Hall 3, the NWN informed visitors about hydrogen and showed that Lower Saxony is the No. 1 hydrogen state with around 80 projects. Overall, many hydrogen stakeholders were represented at the fair. However, visitors only found such a variety and diversity of projects as in Lower Saxony at the NWN. "The interest in hydrogen is enormous," Bedrunka continues. "There is a great need for a central platform for information on the use of hydrogen and funding opportunities, as well as for networking. That's exactly what we as NWN were able to offer visitors."

Company representatives were interested in contact and exchange with other companies along the value chain as well as in support for approval and funding procedures. In particular, the NWN's planned sector guide met with a lively response here.

State and local politicians learned about pioneering projects in Lower Saxony and took the inspiration back to their respective districts.

In addition, many foreign delegations also visited the NWN stand to find out about hydrogen activities in Lower Saxony.
