Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2022

For two days, the NWN presented Lower Saxony's hydrogen landscape to around 4,500 visitors at the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe 2022 in Bremen. The team around project leader Dr. Alexander Bedrunka explained to German-speaking and international visitors the projects along the value chain - from the production and import of green hydrogen, to the construction of the hydrogen backbone for a European hydrogen infrastructure, to applications in industry and mobility.

Partners from Lower Saxony were also represented at the stand. EWE presented the IPCEI Clean Hydrogen Coastline and the regional Hyways for Future project. The Hydrogen Campus Salzgitter was represented by partners from Bosch and the Fraunhofer Institute IST, as was the University of Oldenburg for the hydrogen continuing education course for specialists and managers.

On the first day, Dr. Alexander Bedrunka presented at the conference on the topic: Connecting the dots: Why Cooperation Is Key to Building The Hydrogen Economy. Dr. Sabrina Zellmer from Fraunhofer IST, Dr. Geert Tjarks from EWE and Dr. Karl-Peter Thelen for the Energy Hub Port of Wilhelmshaven joined in the subsequent discussion on the topic.
