UVN Hydrogen Working Group: "Opportunities and current projects in the field of hydrogen in Lower Saxony".

UVN Hydrogen Working Group: "Opportunities and current projects in the field of hydrogen in Lower Saxony".

The new federal climate protection law aims to ensure that Germany achieves greenhouse gas neutrality by 2045. This entails a fundamental transformation and restructuring of the manufacturing economy, our energy system and the associated infrastructure. Accordingly, the necessary transformation requires a broad mix of instruments in the areas of industry, energy, transport and buildings.

In the joint study "Climate Pathways 2.0" between BDI and BCG, a need for 860 billion euros of additional investment was forecast in order to achieve the climate protection goals. The role of hydrogen as a missing link in the energy transition will be particularly important in flexible power generation and in industrial processes. The UVN expert committee, the Hydrogen Working Group, is to highlight these potentials and the associated opportunities for Lower Saxony's economy.

The Lower Saxony Business Associations (Unternehmerverbände Niedersachsen e.V.). (UVN), as a partner in the Lower Saxony Hydrogen Network, therefore invite stakeholders from the business community and other interested parties to the meeting of the Hydrogen Working Group on Thursday, 17.03.2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m .via video conference (zoom client) .
