Green hydrogen is a versatile energy carrier and a key element of the energy transition. Lower Saxony has a high potential for its production, as the state produces a lot of electricity from renewable energies, especially wind power.

On 30.11. and 01.12.2020, the online conference "Synergiewende mit grünem Wasserstoff" (Synergy turnaround with green hydrogen) took place, providing a broad overview of where the potential for Lower Saxony lies, which projects have already been planned or started and what the political framework conditions are.The keynote speech by State Secretary Frank Doods from the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Environment, as well as the subsequent moderated discussion between him and the CEO of enercity AG, Dr Susanna Zapreva, took place on the premises of KEAN.
