Planning process for the development of a hydrogen network infrastructure
14th lecture series on the "Transformation of the energy system"
The 14th lecture series on the "Transformation of the energy system" is taking place again this year. Since its introduction in 2011, over 130 lectures have examined various issues relating to the energy transition from different perspectives. In interdisciplinary discussions, both problems and solutions are discussed in the context of the energy transition and climate protection.
Particularly noteworthy is the presentation on 20 November 2024 by Dr. Malte Grunwald from Gasunie Deutschland Transport Services GmbH. The presentation entitled "Planning process for the development of a hydrogen grid infrastructure" will deal with the necessary conversion of the energy system to achieve climate neutrality. Hydrogen will play a central role in this. It will discuss how the conversion of the energy system is planned and how the grid should be designed for the new energy carrier hydrogen. The focus will be on the system development strategy, including the Ten Years Network Development Plan (TYNDP) and the network development plans for electricity, gas and hydrogen. The lectures will begin on October 23, 2024 and run until January 22, 2025. Every two weeks, experts from various faculties at Leibniz University Hannover, external research institutions, industry and politics will present their findings and perspectives.
