National topics of the energy transition - ENERGY-HUB Port of Wilhelmshaven

Kick-off event for the format "National Issues of the Energy Transition" - Host: ENERGY-HUB Port of Wilhelmshaven.
With the transformation of the energy transition - towards electrification of applications and the import of hydrogen, other energy carriers and derivatives - a new approach to supply security is needed. How do we guarantee security of supply through imports and storage, what role do ports play and what infrastructure do we need?
Three panels will be held for this purpose:
Panel 1: Expansion of renewables,
Panel 2: Ports as an import vector for hydrogen,
Panel 3: Security of supply through imports and storage
A panel discussion will then be held on the basis of the panels. The tapping of the region's maritime potential for the hydrogen strategy as well as the planned National Hydrogen Import Strategy of the BMWK and the measures necessary for this will be discussed.
